Ok, so here’s the post where I get on my high horse, and explain how I beat the system and everything, right? I mean, isn’t that what bloggers do?
Especially in travel hacking?
Well, I’m not going to do that. And it’s not because I’m modest, or a great guy – though I also like to think I’m those things. It’s because I can’t.
I won’t be getting status on Amtrak, because my plan won’t work.
So, Wednesday I completed my first rail run. It was a pretty pleasant trip!
Don’t worry, I did not physically run on the rails. That’s dangerous – please don’t do that. Check out my
for a detailed explanation. rail running intro post
Here’s the scoop.
First time for everything, right?
This hobby has taught me a lot. First, I was appalled by paying annual fees on credit cards. I mean, I had my trusty Discover card. Who needs a card that’s going to charge you just to use it? Plus, way before all of that, I thought all credit cards were evil!
Then, I thought people chasing status were crazy. I’m too tough for premium level service anyway, that’s for sissies.
. That may have changed too
And up until recently, I thought
. buying your miles was nuts
Well, that’s all changed.
So. Here’s my new experiment.
